How did feeder preschools do with exmissions?

Isn’t STMPG also a TT feeder? Has its reputation gone down, no one seems to mention it much.

Some unhappy friends at All Souls. Lots of waitlists.

Know many at All Souls. My friend’s child’s class, I think everyone got at least one offer and I think maybe one class mate got all waitlists.

That being said. I think many families will be upset if they don’t get their top choice or waitlisted for everything except one school. I’m assuming most feeder schools had the same issue this year as well.

STMPG doesn’t want the attention. I think it’s small so less chatter.

I don’t know anything about other schools but our feeder did extremely well.

Were there a lot of siblings and legacies to compete with? was there good placement if not a sibling/legacy?

I know for us (All Souls Family) I think it went really well, and I’m speaking solely on non-legacy/ sibling acceptances. Yes there are sibling/legacies but they don’t make up the majority of the two classes that applied.

There are a lot of siblings and legacies in all the feeder preschools. Lots of “TT” placement for unconnected families this year at ours.

I heard from parents at a feeder school that this year there were quite a few cases where siblings were not admitted to TT

How are exmissions from Episcopal these days?

I know a lot of happy Episcopal families. OP, the current families at these schools get exmissions list even if not on website. Can ask around.

The idea that oldest children are competing with slots against younger siblings at their preschool is misguided. The ongoing schools don’t operate on slots per preschool, just on overall slots available after siblings are accounted for.

The oldest sibling was a new family at one point and then, for the most part as long as they’re the correct gender or at a coed, the siblings go. Our school has had years where there are 3+ siblings going to Trinity or Riverdale or Chapin and 2-3 new families go as well.

I heard the number of applicants went up this year for many of the schools, including those schools that are not as competitive to get in. One family I know got waitlisted from their backup school. Maybe, it was extra competitive this year?

I know two families there. Episcopal is more a feeder school for K-8 boys schools. One of the two families didnt get any offers, only wl...Parents are devastated. They were told this year was extremely competitive...

We are waiting on our STMPG admissions decision for 2s, and it does seem like it's not really talked about here or online nearly as much as other programs. It was our favorite during the admissions process so I've been trying to get more information without avail, especially regarding emissions.
