How did feeder preschools do with exmissions?

Anonymous
I am wondering how exmissions went at

Westside Montessori School
Park Children’s Day School
Montclare
JCC

If anyone knows

We are awaiting preschool decisions at the end of the month.

We are from a feeder preschool in the UES, and it seems (from what I know) that we did well.

So far from my child’s class, only one child got all waitlisted. Everyone else got one of their top choices (and I am not including sibling/ legacies that already found out in December).

haha, in what world do those schools count as feeder preschools? West Side montessori, maybe.

Montclare posts a very detailed breakdown of their acceptances. It’s very impressive, do you disagree?

Park Children’s did amazing this year.

What are the other feeders? How many are there in total do you think? As in having a dedicated director to help with exmissions and knows the process

Is that the school that was once named Claremont and is above a CVS on Amsterdam in the 90s? They were new when we were looking, and trying hard to be impressive. It sounds like they filled in a gap left by the demise of Mandell.

Eh. For profit schools aren’t my thing. And the Mandell lady has only herself to blame for ruining the school her parents started.

You're just reinforcing stereotypes of typical UES moms who think only a handful of preschools are worth it, and those preschools just happen to be available only to a small population of connect parents.

I heard good things from friends at Montclare and PC, so at least some people are happy

Montclare publishes very detailed exmissions. I would like at that more that the results from a single year.

Does anyone know how UES feeder preschools did? Specifically Brick Church, All Souls and STMPG?

Brick had another strong showing. Maybe not as strong as last year but considering how tough this year was across the board I don’t see how things could have gone better.

Some unhappy friends at All Souls. Lots of waitlists.

Not all the feeders have a dedicated exmissions person. Many rely on their preschool director.

UES feeders: 92Y, Brick, Episcopal, Christ Church, All Souls, Emannuel

UWS: Park Chidren’s, WSMS
