My home is likely to be zoned here and I hate the name. More importantly, my kids don't like it.

Technically Reid recommended two names. It's the school board main motion.

On January 22, 2026, the Superintendent amended her formal recommendation to the School Board to include the following two names:

Skyview High School
Western High School

I move that the School Board vote to select one of the Superintendent's recommendations as the name of the school division’s new high school in western Fairfax County.

Reid is trying to emphasize her stupid aviation pathway. She really wants to claim she did something "special" with this school, even though the public and the board all voted for the traditional school that we want and need. She just won't let it go.

+1 more who lives in the area. This is not what the community wants. And, why did she not go with a local name? I prefer Oak Hill, but Floris, Horsepen Run, Sully, Frying Pan. Something that defines the local community.
