The Act of Killing
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Act_of_Killing Tough watch, but really good. |
This is one of my favorites! |
|
Wild, Wild Country - The most bananas true story I’ve ever heard. I honestly thought it was a mockumentary when I started it. But no, it’s real. Have since rewatched it twice more.
Dear Zachary - I could watch it once. Bring tissues. Only watch if you need an ugly cry. |
Really? I watched the first half and it's so poorly made I'm not sure I can watch the rest. |
Agree. Boring. |

The Rescue from Nat Geo
“THE RESCUE chronicles the enthralling, against-all-odds story that transfixed the world in 2018: the daring rescue of twelve boys and their coach from deep inside a flooded cave in Northern Thailand.” From E. Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin who also did Free Solo - another rec but you said no sports. Sneaking in more sports but really more on doping plus international intrigue - Icarus. |
NP. I thought it was pretty cool, would recommend. |

There’s something wrong with aunt Dianne just hit my stomach hard - remember that line so much from that incident. Want see that.
The devil and Daniel Webster I liked. Also Catfish (if you can call documentary.) |
| There is a documentary about nutmeg on YouTube. I unexpectedly spent an hour sucked into this; it was surprisingly well made and a joy to watch. |
Oh, yes! Almost forgot about this one!! Incredible story ... |

Making Of A Murderer (about that wrongly convicted guy who is imprisoned for another murder.)
Also that Netflix doc about the young lady who was found deceased at the Cecil Hotel. |
