For those with insomnia, consider getting your iron levels checked. I had severe insomnia since turning 40 (now 48) and relied on OTC sleep meds. Many nights the meds didn’t work either. Doctors couldn’t figure out what the issue was. I assumed it was peri.
Last summer, I had an unrelated health issue that required a series of weekly iron infusions. What I found soon after is that the infusions resolved the insomnia and the other issue. Serendipity at its finest. It’s been nearly seven months, and I have not slept this well since my 30s; deep, full nights sleep, every single night since the infusions. |
| Totally agree, although good food might be a close second lol |

I started to post all the ways I get a good night's sleep and them remembered I'm on this site and everyone will tell me to go seek help.
Or something lol |
I went caffeine-free for three months about a year ago and the sleep was incredible. I can’t give up the bean juice though. SUCH a powerful addiction. For anyone who’s interested in the history of our collective caffeine addiction, I highly recommend Michael Pollan’s ‘This is Your Mind on Plants.’ |

| If sleeping for one night is good, just imagine how great death is going to be! |
Hah! Going under general anesthesia makes me ponder this, too. |
Good but boring

| sex is a close second. |
It wasn't boring for me. The two times I went under I came out talking all kinds of craziness and the nurses and doctors had a laugh. |

I used to sleep like a baby, it was glorious.
Now I have major trouble sleeping and it is a fight to get a good night's sleep. Dealing with multiple health issues, I miss the way it used to be. |
Maybe get a hormone test? |
