Help me not snack at night

Anonymous
Have a REALLY filling dinner, with plenty of protein and fat.

Then brush your teeth and don't eat anything for 3 hours before you go to bed.

I have done this for years... and now if i eat or drink something besides water in the window, I realize how terrible I feel while sleeping. I also sometimes feel a bit hungry when I'm falling asleep, but then I wake up without hunger -- my body has burned fat for energy. A good thing!

+1 a cup of herbal tea helps me not snack.

Also, I started crocheting while I watch TV so my hands are busy.

I use a fasting app for this. Set the fast right after dinner and don’t cheat! I have seltzer or hot tea to relax.

Maybe a healthy snack at work

And dinner as soon as you get home?

+1. Stop buying it or find something low cal like a simple popcorn.

+2, my best discovery was that I can pop kernels in a brown paper bag in the microwave.

Same, I like to have a cup of mint or apple tea at night in the winter, or an icy glass of seltzer in the summer.

Your body still needs something it didn’t get earlier in the day:

Protein? Fat? Hydration?

What do you think you’re missing?

a eat a few choco almonds (fm TJs) - quick satisfying snack/dessert to end the day.

I had this problem.

I don’t eat after 8:30pm. I have an alarm set on my phone.

The “don’t eat after dinner” didn’t work for me because the time fluctuated too much.

You are eating to relax and it is a habit.

Take a bath or drink an herbal tea
