Luckily they can't.

THIS! If y'all hadn't gone so aggro about virtual school, we might have a better backup plan than a week's worth of consecutive non-instructional days. But y'all didn't want to discuss that...

I’m a teacher and I am wondering if this is the plan too.

Truly, this.

Are we getting snow this Wednesday/Thursday?

Arlington had in person school on Thursday. Alexandria had virtual school last Wednesday-Friday.

MCPs has…badly written communication emails and snow day videos.

We have discussed it and we all know it is a terrible idea. Hold real school days.

The county is bad, but somehow Taylor and MCPS are even worse. He has no idea what he's doing. Replace him with someone who has worked in a northern state.

And raise taxes in the county by 10% to give him the funding to handle this scenario

There's nothing to handle. They could have opened. At most they may need to adjust bus routes downcounty if it's true that they can't get through. That can be a permanent change.

Maybe they need a day to adjust the bus routes?

You are truly sick in the head. I tried reporting this comment but got an error message.

I think we can all agree he should resign and take the CO with him.

See, resign, not kill. There's a difference.

One is a reasonable stance.

The other one is abhorrent.

I'm fine with him just resigning in disgrace.

Leaders have to make tough and unpopular decisions sometimes. You don’t know all the variables that went into the decision he made.

I highly doubt that's a real problem. If it was, they should have adjusted them last week.
