| It seems $30k is standard discount given as merit to attract full pay? |
+1 DP here. DC received a significant merit scholarship to our highly ranked State flagship and received full ride scholarship offers to the next best State school and Fordham. DC could probably reach and "do better" but cost is a factor for our family. DC will likely accept the highly ranked State school or Fordham offer because it offers a pathway to Wall Street. Would Harvard or NYU Stern offer better pathways? Sure, but we can't afford those. |
Fordham is significantly more national than those |
| What’s the base price for Fordham, before merit aid? |
$98k tuition fees housing food plan (not including indirect costs) |

People put way too much stock into rankings which vary by magazine to magazine, year to year... |
It's in NYC (expensive area) and they provide a liberal arts education with small classes and lots of personal attention. But they give good merit to lots of people. |

OMG. For those of us still in the research phase, it would help to know the net price after the merit award is deducted from the list price . . . not just the merit award itselse. |
OP here. Our cost of attendance is $61k- a couple hundred dollars less than OOS Pitt (with no merit given). |
Fordham is extremely generous with merit. It often ends up costing around the same or less as many other schools. |
+1 That's a lot lower than some other schools that don't have the benefits of Fordham. Plus it's a beautiful campus. Since it's in NYC, students can get internships during the school year. That's why Fordham places well on Wall Street and prestigious arts organizations. |
| Nice school but not in same category of ND, HC, Georgetown, and BC. |
No one is claiming it is. |
