If you come to this book not knowing the background it actually might be better. Because, who cares.

There is so much awesome fantasy out there. We need to leave JKR in a ditch.

It’s not anywhere close to Hp.

Oh hon. You don't know anything about this book. It's HP Fan Fiction that was edited for trad publication. Google it.
Was the PP denying the history with Manacled (or just not aware), or were they implying the edits to the characters, plot, and magic system was enough to separate it from HP origins so it doesn’t read like HP fanfiction? Honestly not sure.

I wrote the not anywhere near HP. I came to this book without knowing any of the back story, and glad I did.

Not at all. This is a dark fantasy. It was one of those fics I could only read once because it was so devastating. Just full ugly crying. It’s not romantic. It’s not sexy. I actually think it’s really weird when people thirst over this main character (although that seems to be a small percentage of people). But yes, people hear fanfic and assume it’s smut. Not this one.

It’s definitely smut!

Agree to disagree on the use of the word, I guess. I love reading smut. There are sex scenes, but the SA immediately makes all other sex scenes in this book not at all sexy IMO.
