Maybe take tomorrow off from shoveling.

Thanks, but I'm feeling fine. It's a good tired.

Getting ready to watch 90 Day Fiancee or whatever my wife is into.

You are a great husband. I shoveled 3 times today and am about to shower and am looking forward to getting into bed to watch 90 Day Finance. I’m tired too. My husband will be watching something else on the other tv, which is also fine since he’s tired from shoveling too.

OP, no, shoveled so it wouldn't be even heavier tomorrow. We're socked in until at least Wednesday. Our road hasn't been plowed since about 8 a.m.

Goodness, no.

Michigander here. Shovel early and often.

Our neighbors parked their 4 cars in the driveway to minimize the shoveling.

Should I go out now and do the rest or wait until morning - about 2 inches of sleet on the ground.

sleet and the dark? Hard pass.

I'm old and fat and also managed to not die.

I took it slow and removed layers as I got warm. My back is angry with me though, even though I lifted with my knees as much as I could.

It's much harder to shovel than airy flakes of nothing.

Your heart had an intense workout. Go and rest now.

Beware tomorrow, or tonight if you're walking dogs. You can break your neck out there.

Good name.

I'm 54M, in fairly decent shape but have been slacking a bit this winter.

First shovel was at about 9 a.m. when CBS Sunday Morning was preempted by local coverage of the snow (Hey, TV News stations -- we have WINDOWS. We know it's snowing). Had about 8-10 inches (live in Western Loudoun). It was hard work but manageable. Took me about an hour to shovel, clear off two cars, clear off steps, etc.

Then went back out at 3:30 p.m. and there was another two inches of snow plus about three inches of ice crust. Oi vey.

I'm sore.

But, hey, I didn't keel over dead. So, yay or something.

I'll feel it tomorrow, though.

It's so they can show viewers they are riding with the head of the sand office or something in the car surveying conditions of roads and highways around DMV. Dont you care to see the condition of I-495 where you are not planning to drive today?

Did they reair those morning shows at a later time today?

My good friend from college had a heart attack and died shoveling snow. He was 49. Be careful. It’s an actual thing. Be safe everyone!

DH saw something yesterday that over 45 should not shovel. He wasted no time telling this to our teens while out clearing off the cars and running the snow blower. Teens were helping already so lots of eye rolls from them and “ok, old man” from me.

Also because some people are stupid and need visual confirmation over and over again that they shouldn't be driving.

Bless the plow driver wearing the crown last night on the news! She was awesome!

That was NBC! I can't remember which anchor said it, but my husband and I look at each other and laughed. Who else in this empty nest is going to do it?

My Dad's in his 70s and already had a heart attack in the past and we had to contact their lawn guy (he lives nearbg) and pay for snow removal so Dad wouldn't be out there shoveling (we don't live in the same town). Some old men can be very stubborn.

I'm 58, and the advice of the folks on TV saying don't shovel snow if you are over age 50 was enough for me. I hate doing it, and was more than happy to pay some kid from the neighborhood.

Did he do as good a job as I would have? No.
Do I care? No.

Signed,

Warm, non-tired, getting-up-there-but-not-quite-old man.
