| I know this sounds strange, but Korean Starbucks stores sell extremely cute Korea-only merchandise if you are into that sort of thing. |

Clothes (e.g., DDM)
Socks Kids' underwear PJs, fuzzy socks for winter Stationary (check out the big Kyobo bookstore or Young Poong - huge selections) All kinds of accessories, stickers Olive Young - they have rotating sales items that are a pretty good deal (for cosmetics, also hair accessories, etc) I would also check out the duty free shops (e.g., Shilla, Lotte), you can also find good deals on their websites which have huge selections (except for high-end designer bags/jewelry which you can only find in store) |
| Plastic surgery of course. |
| Socks? Why socks? |
Lol, I am curious too. Unless they are talking about those spray socks that keep your legs warm in icy snow weather or long knee length stockings/leg warmers. |
| The Kyobo Book Centre in Seoul is fabulous--so many gorgeous books, lots of stationery, pens, paper, planners, stickers, cute little gifts ... I spent hours and hours there! |
Good quality and low price. |
textile quality in Korea (made in Korea) is better. |
for some reason, the National Geographic brand is big there. I bought a NG phone case there. It's a great case. |
What’s DDM? |
I think it’s Dongdaemun Doota Mall. Huge building full of stalls selling clothes, originally geared toward wholesale but nowadays probably more retail oriented |
| Make sure to tour level B1 in big department stores. The Shinsaegye (main location or Gamgnam), Lotte, Hyundai department stores have really nice selection of foods from all over the world. They bring the best and most trendiest. It’s fun to walk around and see the offerings. |
