Will be traveling there this spring. Definitely going to get some skin care done. Anything else?

Masks, make up, kimchi, socks. They have lots of cute teen girls stuff. I found lots of stuff for dd but struggled to find clothes for ds. Also lots of cute stuff like school supplies, phone covers, pencil boxes, little things to hang on backpacks, etc.

Any stores or items in particular you recommend? I only have ds unfortunately but one of my ds is very into skin care so he is making me a list for himself

Easiest is olive young. They are all over Korea, mid range prices. You can also check out lotte department stores, they also have fancy to mid range. I found olive young more manageable, it’s like sephora, so don’t have to wander huge department store to find something.

I loved the Doota shopping mall while I lived there for clothes for me. Lots of vendors and an excellent shoe collection. Beware it’s all
mostly one size fits all and unfortunately I can’t recall if they had clothes for men.

Items with mother of pearl inlay. Jewelry boxes or small wall panels. If you have any little girls to shop for, a doll dressed in a hanbok.

Uh. No. Your clothes will smell of kimchi. You can get good kimchi here at Hmart.

I would get shoes there. I got some rainboots there that are good quality. And they were cheap.

Celadon pottery. Socks are available at many subway stations.

We picked up some limited edition Line Friends duty free luggage when we went and then a bunch of K-pop idols and kdramas were shown with the same cute luggage and it weirdly became worth a LOT of money.

Socks
Skincare: though I’d skip olive young and go to the specific stores like innisfree
And stationery … amazing stationery everywhere. Daiso, hangaram, etc

If you are from the DMV or have Asian supermarkets nearby, avoid buying those snacks in SK that are available here.

Daiso is very cheap and some things are great value.

Lots of cute socks. Lots of old American brands have brand presence there (mostly fashion) which we found very amusing (Kodak, Discovery, Lee Jeans) and might make good souvenirs.
