Stores without snow gloves and snow shoes yesterday?

People almost an hour away from where I am were willing to drive for a $10 pair of used snow boots. It seemed insane. The woman first in line who got it said she went to multiple stores and couldn't find them for her kid and was very appreciative.

I don't know the size of the items you had, but stores start selling winter stuff often before it's even fall so even if a mom buys her kid a pair of snow boots then, they may no longer fit in late January.

Op. Mine were toddler boots. I guess that makes sense that people don't buy it ahead when kids grow so fast

I just use my hiking boots in the snow.

Is this on facebook? I always wondered how that works? I want to sell a few things but don't want my friends list people to see them.

Yes FB marketplace. I am like you so I have a second email and FB profile just to get rid of my junk.

Toddlers don't really need to be walking in snow. Parents are probably desperate because they want their kids to be able to play in the snow and boots are necessary above about an inch of snow.

Toddler boots are also kind of rare in stores. We used to get ours at Target but they weren't in stock for long.

Eventually we switched to ordering Kamiks from Amazon.

Speak for yourself! I used my snow thrower today — we had about 5 inches of fluffy snow, that I was able to clear very quickly.

My snow thrower was something I bought on Prime Day about 8 years ago — my only Prime Day purchase ever. I got it for about $120. Best deal ever!

That’s the kind of stuff you should be putting on Buy Nothing.

No, $10 is a fair price. It weeds out people who will respond that they want them and not show up. A small amount of money guarantees serious buyers and doesn't waste the seller's time.

Does FB let you have a second profile now? I attempted this years ago and it blocked me!

Agree. I love and give away perfectly nice like new things there. I wouldn’t sell old used boots. I would otherwise donate them.

Ice alone is bad... Very bad.

It’s not a bust over here in Bethesda.

I’m guilty of this for my kids but was at least 5-6 early when it was first predicted so ordered whatever was available on Amazon. It was for my teens and boys feet grow so I didn’t realize they didn’t fit.

I use Halloween each year as my reminder to pull out last year's snow gear, try it on and buy whatever needs to be bought then. Little chance they will outgrow it by winter and still plenty of time to get what is needed. And pass along what they have outgrown.

I will never understand people who are surprised that there is nothing left the day before a snowstorm hits.

Dear Lord, are you the angry OP from the "storm is a bust" thread?

Every weather event is like this. In hurricane prone states, they run out of plywood. It's not just this area. Stores cannot stock enough when everyone needs the same item at once. No one is hoarding.

Take your meds.

You're the same OP from the other troll thread?

At this point I don't believe a word you say. You're just trolling hoping to rile people up.

Go to bed.
