+1 Jesus broke the law when He healed the sick on Sabbath Day. He didn't care about man's laws when it came to helping people. That's not to say that we should allow illegal immigration, but we should treat them humanely, certainly not arresting a toddler and putting them in a cell. That is the anti-thesis of what Jesus taught.

Most liberals AGREE that immigration needs to be reformed with pathways to citizenship.
Most liberals don’t want lawless criminals - USA born citizens or illegal immigrants.
Most liberals realize there are jobs that are predominantly filled by immigrants. The people working these jobs deserve to be paid fairly and have legal documentation protecting their status and rights.

I truly don’t understand how religious people see this Administration as upholding their values. From violence to social program cuts to insulting rhetoric, I struggle with this on a spiritual level. So many of the people I know who support Trump consider themselves believers.

If you actually look at the Bible and words / actions of Jesus - they are pretty much the opposite of Trump and ICE.

How do you know who are Christians - not hard to define as the Bible is clear - if they have the spirit of Christ in them, you will see the fruits of that spirit in their lives. In how they treat others, in how they live their lives. The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, and self control. Those are the attributes of a Christian, a follower of Christ.

Yes, Christianity allows for people to be human and to make mistakes but if you can't see signs of the spirit of Christ - then that is because that spirit isn't there.

Look at ICE and then look at what you see - is it love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, and self control?

Trump is definitely not a Christian - never has been. Anyone who thinks he is has never read the Bible and has no idea what it means to be a Christian. He strategically and politically aligns himself with the right - some of whom are Christians but there is nothing about Trump that fits with who a Christian is!
