Step One: Hire a surrogate.

This is child trafficking and it’s demonic. Stop normalizing this crap.

Didn't she have some health issues during pregnancy and post-partem? Anyway, the only thing I find a bit cringe is the social media post, but hey to each their own....

It’s modern slavery. Perhaps worse.

If I had to guess she's doing skin-to-skin contact immediately after the birth just like many people do. I also find this photo cringey, but I personally cringe when anyone posts such a personal shot.

Yes if you use another women’s womb due to vanity.

+ 1. I’m against all commercial surrogacy.

I’ve never understood why the people who claim we are basically living in A Handmaid’s Tale are okay with this. Children are a gift; we don’t have a right to have children by any means necessary. And I say that as a person who suffered tremendously due to infertility and who doesn’t have the sort of family I always imagined I’d have. Surrogacy is using women for their bodies and is totally gross.

You think commercial surrogacy is similar to the slavery that was portrayed in The Handmaids Tale?

Yes.

Can you share why? I watched The Handmaid's Tale and don't see that parallel. What are we missing?

Not the slavery aspect, obviously, but do I think that poor women carrying children for richer often infertile people is similar? It’s not completely out of left field to feel the same ick about women being used for their uteruses.

it's not slavery if the women are paid extravagant amounts. what i object to is that some juridictions put caps on how much a surrogate can be paid. if anything, there should be a high minimum. so high that vain celebs don't treat this kind of purchase like buying a handbag. it needs to be one of the most serious purchases they ever make.

Posting the picture is tacky and tine deaf. She should have kept that private.
