Madison's best player is from Metro so add it to the list.

This is about the coaches, not the players.

The JV coach is at VA Elite this year.

That JV coach has left Va Elite for Va Jrs mid season.

Which club practices in the Chantilly area, near the Target/Costco perhaps? Thanks! I'm new to this, but have a promising 7th grader.

Ask your question here: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1228523.page
Some people who would be willing to help with club selection may not even read this thread.

In some cases the connection is evident especially when the HS coach is also coaching an MVSA team. Top players from other clubs make the teams for sure, but politics may decide court time and who starts.

Oh yes Wootton used to have field hockey and Basketball girls coaches that made a mint off of dumb parents

I am trying to understand what to do with this information. It must be relevant in some context.

LOL - I was wondering the same.

Grasping at straws here, but MVSA technically refers to the Montgomery Village Sports Association, which is (was?) a broader organization that encompassed multiple sports. The volleyball club spawned out of that - maybe there are MVSA field hockey or basketball teams?

I think you are over interpreting. I doubt there is any logical association, but I am sure we will learn soon (or never).

I hope this person comes back and explains this because I am so curious

Vienna Elite. They practice at the N Zone right by there. They have multiple teams per age group and tend to be good for beginners.

When I say good for beginners, I mean the teams are not as hard to make as other teams.

Back to high schools for a moment...

A few years ago, Alexandria City had one of more players from Metro (Travel). I never confirmed any link between the AC coaches and the club.

West Springfield (current Class 6 state champs) has a number of current and former Paramount players, but I don't know if the coach is affiliated in any way.

The AC coaches at that time coached club for the Alexandria Titans, so no connection between that player and the club that the coaches were at.
