Broccoli, cabbage, cumin, asafoetida, and eggs also change your body odor for the worse. If deodorant isn't working I would try reducing problematic foods.

OP here, I had read that aluminum was unhealthy and that is why we were avoiding it. She uses an antibacterial soap, but I am not sure if she is changing her clothes every day.

+1 There's a reason why oncologists tell you to stop using aluminum when you have cancer. The advice I received is to avoid if possible especially dyring times of hormone fluctuations (e.g. puberty, perimenopause, etc).

Why?

That causes major itching and regular secret doesn't work. Mitchum is the best.

Thank you for making the changes so that your daughter isn't the kid with body odor. No one wants to be that kid.

+1. It was recommended here and it is the best. Just buy it.

The good news is, my daughter either has changed in her body chemistry or just washes better 2 years later and can wear other brands now. She doesn’t smell anymore. But she 100% needs real deodorant still.

Megababe makes a good deodorant & have her use one of Lume’s body gels. They are helpful in clearing up funk and non- irritating.

Because of a fear of skin irritation when getting radiation treatment near your armpits? (which ultimately has been disproven anyway)

I really don't see where you were going with this, PP.

Me again. Also try lume soap.

If she's doing any kind of activity that makes her sweaty she needs to keep it in her bag and reapply as well.

I’ve never been told that with breast cancer but there are so many claims about what does and doesn’t cause cancer it’s best to only worry about the definitive ones like tobacco and asbestos.

That stuff smells bad. Dove has a similar one that smells good.

You need to use deodorant with aluminum. Don’t listen to the fear mongers. The natural deodorants don’t work, especially on tweens/teens
