I dont know why you’d choose a mid chain for restaurant week.

Because I'd promised my GW college kid a restaurant meal tonight near his campus, and he was in the mood for pasta I didn't actually realize it was restaurant week until we were handed the special menu...

So you didn’t actually go for restaurant week. So weird to comment on this post then. But since you did, I will say this is an average chain with locations in the suburbs. Very odd with the other good Italian options in the city that the restaurant would choose to open in foggy bottom. It is not cheap by any means.

I answered the question by saying we looked at the special RW menu and chose to order something else. Don't police the thread with extraneous criteria. Did you want replies just from people who are going especially for restaurant week? What about those who aren't aware it's that week but pick the special menu anyway?

Stop it with your nonsense.

Last RW did lunch at L’ardente and Dear Sushi at Love, Makoto. Obviously a splurge for a weekday lunch, but fun excuse to do something different and honestly thought both were worth it.

Over 350 restaurants to choose from

We're gonna try Duke's Grocery and Mandu.

Blacksalt for lunch was good. Mussels, grilled branzino, and key lime pie for 35

Casa Teresa was delicious, did the RW menu with wine pairing. Great value! The jamon iberico especially stood out.

Amazonia was blah.

I’m not the PP and I just read DCUM for entertainment, but, wow, you are a miserable person!

I went to Pisco y Nazca yesterday for lunch and thought their restaurant week menu ($25 for 3 courses) was terrific. I had ceviche, a pulled pork rice bowl, and flan with grilled pineapple and quinoa crisps.

Any RWs have the entire menu available?

Stay tuned for the next one

Chef Geoff’s does and it’s the only one I know of that does this!

Went to 1789. Very nice and they had most of the standard menu available; total price was about 2/3-3/4 of what it would have been regularly.

Used to enjoy RW but now I have kids. Most places seem to require everyone at the table participate, and I’m not dropping $55 on a meal my kid won’t eat unless Mickey Mouse is visiting my table.

Tried Ambar Shaw Friday night. It was terrific. Would go back.
