Yes, at a public school. People post on this forum that publics don’t recruit. They shouldn’t, but they certainly do. I guess it’s some compensation that a coach at a public in another state offered to fake paperwork and provide a place to live if my kid wanted to play for him. We declined.

Look at Petersburg high school’s basketball team in Petersburg, Va. No school in Virginia will beat them. Not even PVI.

There are also schools in Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun that are doing the same thing. It’s happening in Va.

All those kids on the Petersburg team play together for an AAU team in North Carolina and before that, they all played together in Richmond high school for the same coach. ]How could VHSL allow them to cheat out in the open like that/

Heritage High School in Leesburg recruited a bunch of kids from the same AAU team as well. Those kids don’t live within the Heritage boundaries and are doing the same thing

Westfield has a bunch of kids that are not zoned for that school either. Most of them are seniors this year though, so after this year’s seniors are gone I only know of 2 that will still be there.

You love to drag Westfield in every thread. FCPS has multiple reasons for approved transfers. Those kids have played for Westfield for years and their transfers were approved by VHSL. Take it up with FCPS if you don't like it.

Kevin Harris is a known cheater and a below average coach. They won't win.
