UMass good for all 3, has merit |
| U of MN, Wisconsin, Penn State, Gonzaga, UC Boulder, Puget Sound, Tulane, BC (look at Human Centered Engineering program). |
| RPI, WPI, RIT, Duquesne |

Not a coast, but a good vibe for this kid at University of Denver. Somewhere between likely and a match.

Unless it really is a national team, meaning that your jersey says USA, and not a random club team that plays a schedule against teams from across the country. |
Look at U Washington (reach) and Oregon if he loves sports and wants a medium sized flagship (19K). |
UDub Seattle is not a reach for him at all. |

For engineering:
Dayton Marquette Santa Clara University of San Diego Union (ny) Lehigh Lafayette Villanova |

OP- thanks all, for those who missed it, major is engineering or landscape architecture.
Meant to say, he wants western US or east coast (we are in the Pacific NW). He's not interested in SEC schools or even huge schools, but probably okay with that if a program or club team made a huge school feel smaller. |
Op- Ha ha- we are in-state for Oregon and they have a great Landscape architecture program but dc wants to get away. U Dub seems reachy since the Landscape architecture program is selective and so many from OR apply there, but I do think he can pull together a good portfolio. It'll depend on SATs I guess. |
Wisc-Madison might be a reach, though it’s a moot point if large colleges are not desired! |
op- yes, it's a national level of a club and I know it's not top caliber which is why he's not playing for a great D3 program. He could play for plenty of mid-D3 programs but he would rather play club at a school he really wants to be at. We are considering it a good EC for him but won't open any admissions doors per se. |
UDub is almost test blind. They also don’t consider rec letters, according to their CDS. |
Op- he loves the idea of Fordham. Do they have engineering? I know they don't have landscape architecture. Dd got oodles of merit from them but she chose a Claremont school. |
