The average DCUM poster has a taste for cyber bullying. I now use ChatGPT for answering that type of question. ChatGPT is more polite. |
It’s a dumb question. Maybe ask what time does your son leave campus/walk to Union Station etc and then you can calculate commute time. Ask someone who lives in your neighborhood. |
To be fair, the question is kind of pointless. We live in Fairfax and my ds goes to BI. Most kids live in Alexandria and I’m sure they get home faster than my ds who has to be driven home on the beltway. Asking what time he gets home wouldn’t provide any useful info to a kid who lives in Alexandria. |
| Question isn’t dumb but needs more specifics re which neighborhood is DC traveling to and by what method. NW DC is big. Will the student be traveling to Mount Pleasant? 16th Street Heights? Takoma? Friendship Heights? |
| kids come from all over DC, VA, and MD. lots from VA. with all sorts of different ranges of commute times. somewhere up the red line in NW DC likely gives your kid a pretty average commute. |
