why would you do this instead of make a sepeate room
This carpet bathroom reminds me of my boomer uncle's house like wtf

this totally needs to be gutted and redone

OP here. What would a similar place cost that's updated and not right in Chain Bridge? Looking for my parents who are starting to think about downsizing.
Ideally very close to "downtown" McLean. |
| Why would you get a townhouse for old people when downsizing? Get a condo. Look at the Mather. |
How much are you willing to pay? Agree with pp, at this price and for parents a condo is better. Or move further out. |
| The price is very low for Mclean, but it's weirdly dated in way that would be expense to change. |
|
This is a good boomer building if they aren't ready for assisted living. Not too far from McLean, walkable to a lot of things.

| Wrong side of McLean, for starters. |
I wouldn’t want to live in a townhouse this dated, but this is the more convenient and friendlier side of McLean. |
What's the right side of McLean? The side with no stores? |

| My parents are extremely weird about condos. A townhouse would be an easier step for them. |
| You're committing them to stairs, which is a guaranteed move later on. I would never do this. It was hard enough to get my parents to move even once. |
| What's your price point? |
| Layout, price, parking. It has some pretty features but dated and layout. |
