| As a guy who has dated a lot in his fifties, I think forties is the most attractive age for women. They look older than women who are in their thirties or twenties but they don't look less sexy. Unfortunately, I usually find women in their mid or late fifties much less attractive than women in their late thirties. Menopause is brutal to many women, especially1 white women. I don't relate very well on a romantic or sexual level to women in their twenties. I usually didn't, even when I was in my twenties myself. |

OP here. That’s an obvious response : of course a 30 yo younger Diane Lane was prettier than the 60 yo Diane Lane. But it seems like older men compromise often in looks when they choose a younger woman. I’m just wondering from pure sexual standpoint : are men after less attractive but fertile women or would pick older beauties? I have a crush on a 60 yo Diane Lane would love to sleep with her. It’s just the way her hair flows, her smile, her voice, face and posture - everything creates sexual desire. And there are plenty of more youthful looking 20-30 women I wouldn’t look at twice. I also could never “settle” down in looks with men even if they were younger. I seriously dated a man who was 7 years younger and had a great athletic , tight body. But he wasn’t as handsome as my typical older partners, so I never fell for him seriously . Young body didnt help. He had no character flaws it was just about attraction |

I’ve always known tons of men who picked older women they found hot. I myself am dating a man 10 years younger than me. When I used to manage large groups of interns in their early 20s, the guy interns constantly talked about how hot my 40s coworkers were, rather than the other interns their own age.
I do know a few guys who prefer younger women for the status, and they talk about it constantly. One friend will tell stories of his 20s and always add “back when my GF wasn’t even born yet/was 5 years old/etc”. Like I get joking about it bc I joke about it with my BF, but I don’t go around bringing it up in literally every conversation I have about something completely unrelated. And nobody is very impressed by it. |
