Did I miss the thread on the current revolution going on to free Iran?

There was another uprising against the regime a few years ago that was brutally crushed. This one is likely to be crushed as well. I suspect all Americans (left and right) would welcome regime change in Iran. But there’s nothing we can really do to support it, and it’s probably a lost cause from the start. Hence the lack of interest.

Trump is now threatening Iran regarding their violent suppression of the protests:

He posted on Truth social "We are locked and loaded and ready to go"

Ali Larijani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council replied in a tweet that “The people of the US should know that Trump began the adventurism. They should take care of their own soldiers.”

Here’s the tweet. He is threatening military action if the regime shoots and kills protestors. Say what? So now we’re the policeman of the world? Because government forces shot and killed protestors in the following countries, besides Iran, in the past year. Is he going to attack them too?

Nope. Barely any coverage. Looking at WaPo and NYT now and doesn’t even make the scroll of headlines / major articles. Lots of coverage of the Swiss tragedy and Mamdani, though. CNN, WSJ are same. So no, it’s not getting the coverage warranted.

And to the poster who mentions “Zios”, we’re talking about Iran, not Israel. Different country and one that has been severely oppressed by an Islamist theocracy that has ravaged civil rights, brutally oppressed women, gays, and anyone seen as counter to the dictatorship for decades. Please don’t let your Israel Derangement Syndrome interfere with your understanding of what’s taking place in Iran, how significant it is, and how it’s so telling that the same people who are all about “freedom from colonizers” in the Middle East are strangely quiet.

I looked at Al Jazeera yesterday, and nothing. Was not until this morning that a single story appeared.

I posted the tweet. It has nothing to do with Harry Sisson. It was just the first tweet that I saw which reposted Trump‘s original tweet. Ignore Sisson’s comments – – just focus on Trump‘s tweet. Does it seem like a rational thing for a US president to post?
