That seems like a good rate, honestly. Some people will always get religious or health exemptions. Our school is just above 95% and I'm okay with that. 100% is unrealistic unless the school is tiny and very homogenous. I would be freaked out to be at one of these schools with less than 80% rates. Some of them as low as 60%. That's nuts and is just begging for a measles breakout. Ugh. |

I can’t access. Anyone willing to say if the article includes these VA schools? Flint Hill, SSSAS, Congressional, Burgundy Farms.
Ty! |
No info for Burgundy Farm. The others are at 100%. |
That’s good to hear, thank you very much! |
| What's up with Bethesda Montessori, with a 40% vaccination rate? I've never heard of the school, but it's the lowest in the area. |
And Capital Hill Day School, at 52%. I didn't think that was either a MAGA or hippie school. |
| Some very wealthy people want to shield their child from any perceived risk while relying on everyone else to vaccinate to create herd immunity. Disgusting and selfish. |
| Lake Anne Es in Herndon is only 80% and is right next door to Herndon ES which is 100%. What's up with that? |
| I wonder who they report a kid who has most but is missing one for various reasons, late timing, allergic reaction, etc. |
95 is necessary for herd immunity. It probably wouldn't stop me from enrolling my kid (unless immunocompromised) but is enough to make me kind of anxious and want titers checked regularly. |
They break down medical vs. personal vs. religious. |
Nah, the crunchy to conservative pipe line has existed for decades. I watched it happen to so many girls I was friends with in college. |
It's only takes kids ages 3-6. Very hippie dippie |
It's just MMR |
Even Waldorf is higher! |
