“The Rose Field” by Phillip Pullman. I’ve really seen very little fanfare about this one which makes me wonder… Also 2025 Best American Short Stories, edited by Celeste Ng.

Love this -- my 21 yo DS is also a reader (I feel fortunate). He went out local independent bookstore and purchased 5 banned books as a family gift. We are looking forward to reading/rereading over the next week. All I am missing now is some snow...

Agree that this was self righteous and more than a little aggressive. DP (who, fwiw, loves the idea of giving banned books as a gift in circumstances that aren't not going to be contentious).
