Not 2012s. Confirmed . Could be 2013s |
| EM is losing an important age group at 2013 |
| Syc is flaming out as quickly as it rose. Once u-littles parents realize the truth they head for the hills. |
SYC will be just fine. They have strong depth and consistently develop players, which is why their B teams remain competitive. They aren’t desperately recruiting the way Arlington and other clubs are that struggle to develop talent internally. Funny how SYC seems to live rent‑free in everyone’s head. |
| How good are SYC GA 11s and 10s? |
| I find it funny how some families on these forums think recruiting is a sign of a great club. To me, it’s often a red flag. If a club can’t develop its own players and depends on pulling talent from elsewhere, that’s not something to brag about. Actively recruiting other clubs’ players and celebrating it actually speaks negatively about the club’s development model. |
When did SYC rise? They’ve always been viewed as a lower level club with a large player pool. The coaches got new gear. Hooray. What is the truth? |
1000x yes to this. There are a few prominent clubs that have very little interest in player development and solely recruit from the outside to get better. Major red flag IMO. |
Development at SYC? Promising players first team positions and then putting them on the second team so the second team is good isn’t development. Every club recruits. SYC is by far, the biggest recruiter. They’re just doing it with 9 and 10 and 11-year-olds which is weird. |
Change losing to lost. |
7-8 yr olds are their prime recruiting years. |
Yeah what’s up with that? |
. It’s weird. |
| SYC is clearly living rent‑free in this guy’s head. He’s constantly commenting on them—makes you wonder if his kid got cut or something. Either way, it’s time to move on. Classic troll behavior. |
It’s the parents doing the recruiting. |
