Machine Swim Parents

So many aloof, narcissistic parents blocking the viewing at Takoma pool for the swim meet, and then being mad when asked to move out of the way so everyone can see and enjoy the meet.

Machine Swim needs to help their parents with some basic swim meet etiquette.

No one has explained how the bleachers at Takoma pool should work

You should sit down in them and not stand in front of them is the gist.

Yeah, that's annoying. That happened at a very crowded age group ISCA one spring, and an entire NY team started heckling the offender "get down, green shirt," which prompted a profanity-laced meltdown from the guy blocking the stands. Hilariously surreal.

Hahaha, I remember this. Guy blocking is a now Hydra parent. Cops were called. Go Hydra šŸ™„

Not sure this is specific to Machine parents. This phenomenon of cluelessness applies to all walks of life. I'd agree with previous posters that parents at 10U meets are worse. It's always at the 10U meets (regardless of team) where parents compete to take videos, camp out in the hallways, etc. etc.

Why are you posting this? I’m not a machine parent but know many. Usually there is a person at the meet in charge of this kind of behavior.
