Do you agree that hoeflation is real for men?

No. In my community, both men and women typically go to college. And women are as likely to go to STEM fields as men (at least in 2nd gen).

What do you mean "no"? Facts are facts. More women than men are going to college. More women than men are graduating from college. Your anecdote does not negate facts.

In the higher SES commnunities, both women and men go to college. It's the lower-middle / lower SES communities where more women go to college.

From what I've read, women don't want men with less education or a lower income. I have great employment and post-graduate education so whatever. Women haven't ever wanted men who lounge around the house without making any money so wouldn't really say they have heightened standards.

Not really, please do even a cursory google search. More women than men are going to and graduating from college across all income groups and regions. Even high ses.

Because we tell women to go to college and men to become roofers. Most women major in useless subjects and come out with massive student loans debt. I was a math major. I can count the number of women in my graduating class. My friend majored in Aerospace and same story as well.

95% to 98% of children from the top 5% income families go to college. It's not mathematically possible for there to be a substantial gap between men and women.

Seriously. Any guy who uses this term should not be commenting on whether women have realistic dating standards. Because any reasonable standard would set the bar well above these losers.

Wouldn’t this make it harder for both genders to find a partner? Why would women’s high dating standards mean that it is only harder for men to find a partner?

There certainly is. Because more of those are women, and more of the graduates are women. It's like you're blind to facts.

Why isn’t this framed as an issue for female college graduates not being able to find a partner?

Framing it exclusively as a problem for men is weird.

I think the reality of the dating scene right now is that women are more educated and personally successful as they have ever been, especially in this area.

Women have never married "down" and their success has decreased their dating pool and/or created a dating pool that is tougher on men who used to have more options with lower standards.

An average looking man does not typically value a woman's success in their dating criteria. So from their point of view average looking women with high standards does not make sense. Influencers has jumped on this fact and created stupid terms like hoeflation

Walk into any senior course in sociology, psychology or biology and you will find plenty of women. These majors tend to have high unemployment rate. Walk into any senior EE, physics, or math course and you will find mostly men.

Then they go to law school and take avantage of a litigious country.

Aside from primary care medicine or law, women are severely underrepresented in the majority of STEM field.

Or Asian-Americans. Both men and women go to college.

Because men are whining about being lonely. They aren't getting enough attention and are throwing temper tantrums nonstop. As stated earlier in the thread, this isn't actually an issue for most men. It's a very small, lonely, vocal subset of men who think women/sex should be handed to them on a silver platter without any effort on their own part. Instead of being a person women would want to partner with, they just blame women's standards instead. *shrug*

“These stuck up hos won’t date me, what’s wrong with them?”

Quite the mystery…
