NO. There are far too many kids in AAP. Go back to the GT model. Selection based on objective tests. NO 2E. The idea behind it was that the kids moved through the information/instruction far more quickly than other kids. The only 2e needed would be speech therapists.

But, we need to face the issues. The behavior is the problem.

AARTs at LLIV schools are part-time. Two schools can share an AART. This would reduce staff. But it would be a huge reduction in bus costs. Like in the millions.

AARTs at LLIV schools are part-time. Two schools can share an AART. This would reduce staff. But it would be a huge reduction in bus costs. Like in the millions.

This is not correct. Every school has a full time AART, at least through the end of this school year. They almost got cut to 0.5 during budget cuts in the spring, but all were restored to 1.0 in the final budget.

I cannot speak to immersion, but I can speak to FLES. It accomplishes nothing. If anyone thinks the kids learn the language with this spotty instruction, they are sadly mistaken.

Can confirm that the county is already de-staffing employees, particularly from the ESOL department since they say that department is overstaffed by 100. They are moving teachers mid-year regardless of seniority. The last in, first out rule has been thrown out.

That is why I sent my kids to an immersion school where consequentially, we have been on family trips with friends of my kids to explore the culture tied to the Language.

That language, of course, being Español.

Look at the staff and how much they make. How many actually spend time on academics? Not many.

Look at the mess of the boundary review. It appears that they have given all this time to transparency--yet, in the end, the decision will be whoever is last to scream the most.

You can look up what her staff is like, how many people etc.

This is exactly everything that annoys me about Dr. Reid and her cronies that make up the school board.

They are all spoiled brats who have never been told no, and as parents, it’s time to show them what we truly want the hard way.

Ousting and reinstallation of representatives and staff who will truly do their jobs.

I have contacts at George Mason who would like to pursue an alternative career if fallout from the DOJs baseless investigation were to occur.
