Who's going to United Futsal?

Lots of top teams. Is that a joke? There are no good futsal teams going to Copa.

New Poster here...how do you know that no good teams are going to Copa? Who are the good teams that aren't going to Copa? Who are the good teams in the area?

Looks like Copa has a massive and diverse billing of teams playing including some larger clubs.

The VB thing is basically 4 clubs that are part of a larger circuit of tourneys and is heavily weighted toward u-little.

Different events and purposes though. Great to options.

United Futsal is also a total racket. They make unreasonable demands of clubs in their "program".
Futsal needs a governing board badly.

That poster is not familiar with the Copa environment. Most of the top players in our age group are playing Copa under different banners than their traditional futsal and travel clubs.

United Futsal will have Riptide 804 there. Not sure about who else is going down there. I see In10sity pulled out with the venue change.

Yes, it is unorganized. I don't know what prompted the venue change but many people start their vacations this Friday so they probably could not meet the demands and costs of the Fredericksburg location. The NY/NJ teams are still coming and those are the types of players and parents we want to be around and play against.

Copa was gonna be good no matter what. And now that they are playing in the Athletic Republic in MD, its gonna be even better. that is a great facility that hosted the Alexandria Futsal Cup last weekend. plenty of parking and nice courts.

I feel sorry for out of area teams who booked hotels in fredericksburg and now have to drive up to district heights.

Yes but to play futsal as a team, it takes practice to work as a team in terms of movement. While outdoor soccer player may have good skills, he/she might be struggling with the movement in a tight space as a team.

Yes. Several years ago, many Brazilians exclusively played futsal young and did not transition to full-sided until much later. That is why they used to cook. They are getting away from that model to their detriment and there is so much interest from clubs and academies.

Actually, all Brazilian clubs only play futsal until U12 and U13 before start transitioning to outside
Then they mostly leave futsal alone except players who chose it for their official sport

From what I gather, futsal continues to be played regularly in Brazil. One of the reasons is that there is basically zero cost to play it since its played in school gyms. The country as a whole is wealthier than when Pele was around so you have more kids stay at home watching ipads and playing video games rather than training in the favelas to get escape poverty. Poverty and Favelas still most certainly exist but the middle class is stronger.

The Brazilian youth clubs still only play futsal before transitioning outside
