Expect major delays at all airports coming back to the US.

IAD last Saturday afternoon we came back from London 4 hour line to get back into US. The incompetence of this administration is horrifying

Can you tell me more about this? Was this the customs line for US citizens or non-US? What about the Global Entry line?

We had a multihour delay at IAD as US citizens with Global Entry. A computer system crashed. It's immigration btw. Customs is when you leave the luggage area after immintration.

4 hours? Seriously?? That's unbelievably horrible.

Yep 4 hours. It was "horrible."

Only one lineis open.
No mobile global entry working.
Basically,y nothing working.
Any brown person was targeted, any young white female was harassed.

I’m not defending this admin, but if it makes anyone feel better…I had a totally opposite experience last week at IAD (using that passport control app). I am a young white female and was through in 15 minutes, we were hardly asked any questions and they waived import fees for an expensive piece of jewelry I bought overseas. I hope you have a smooth trip OP.

I’m not fan but a system crash at an individual airport isn’t an Administration problem. I’ve been in and out of the US several times this year and it’s been smooth sailing. I’m sorry you got unlucky

Another near collision today, with a flight going from Aruba to Miami. I would not feel great about it, sorry OP

Apparently GPS is regularly being jammed on Caribbean flights. I am not an alarmist (for better or worse—we were in Paris for vacation a few days before the world shut down for Covid for example, which in retrospect was dumb) but I am wondering whether we should change our Aruba plans for spring break. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/12/20/world/americas/us-venezuela-caribbean-gps-flight-hazard.html?unlocked_article_code=1.-E8.tBLd.9oELDrhi_SeE&smid=nytcore-ios-share

Look the US military rules or engagement have changed. They will shoot down US commercial flights and say the plane was smuggled drugs.

Are you really going to trust Trump and the military with your life or the life of your kids?

Ok good for you? Do you feel some kind of superiority now for your pure luck? Maybe you could bother to express some sympathy for the people there now, and those who live there and were happy to serve you while you were on your vacation?
