Aruba in a few days

Just read about the near collision of JetBlue flight leaving Curaçao tonight. We are heading to Aruba in a few days and worried about flying in and also getting stuck there if some breaks out and air travel is shut down. Ack, don’t know what to do, if anything

Expect major delays at all airports coming back to the US.

IAD last Saturday afternoon we came back from London 4 hour line to get back into US. The incompetence of this administration is horrifying

What does that collision have to do with your flight? Did you stop flying after the DCA plane/helicopter collision too?

There are unannounced US military planes flying around the area without any transponders on. Aruba is very close to Curaçao and Venezuela, especially at jet speed. Also the military’s dismissive response. I get OP’s concern.

Can you tell me more about this? Was this the customs line for US citizens or non-US? What about the Global Entry line?

Go take a look at a map and see how close they are and proximity to Venezuela. Then get informed about what’s happening with US/ Venezuela. Once you do that come back and join the adult conversation.

No mobile global entry working.
Basically,y nothing working.
Any brown person was targeted, any young white female was harassed.

The Aruba airport is a nightmare anyway, arrive several hours early.

If the US military is flying blind through Curaçao airspace, you better believe they’re doing the exact same thing in and around Aruba. Trinidad too. Those cowboys don’t care, and this administration won’t hold them accountable. Just look at the DCA crash. OP has good cause to be worried. Sorry OP. It will probably be fine, but no guarantees of course.
