What I think is Jews who support Huckabee or Trump or any Republican are not Jews. As a child of a survivor I feel very strongly about this issue.

Jews around the world don't suffer because of the actions of the government of Israel. Jews around the world suffer because antisemites use the actions of the government of Israel to justify attacks on Jews. And if you make the same association, you're also an antisemite.

It would help if more Jews around the world came out against the actions of the government of Israel.

More Americans support the actions of America than Jews support the actions of Israel.

This is not accurate. A majority of Americans do not support Trump.

Meanwhile, 82% of Israelis support the forced expulsion of Palestinians from the Gaza.

Are there compassionate, ethical, peaceful Israelis? Sure. But they are the overwhelming minority.

I think it was the early church fathers, not Jesus. Some Christians were Jewish and others were Gentiles. Gentiles wondered if they needed to follow kashrut and after debate, it was agreed that they didn’t.

A lot of Christians appreciate Israel because Jesus lived there.

Probably has more to do with the theological view of disponsationalism which is present in Christianity especially in the United States which a previous poster mentioned.

I don’t know about you, but most of my closest friends within my (Conservative synagogue) Jewish community is furious at how the war was conducted and the way the government appeared to brush off chances to end it and bring home the hostages earlier.

But if Israel really creates Greater Israel, they can be a super power in the next few years, overtaking the US, Russia and China. Then the billionaires will move there and have houses on the Gaza Riviera. Is this really what all this is about?
