October through January price increases to be “competitive “ with private shipping services. I hope that means that they’re charging the private companies for doing their “last mile” deliveries. The US Government is in line to be one more of Trump’s bankrupt businesses.

When will USPS stop delivering the junk mail? Who is paying for that? It’s certainly not competitive pricing.

Junk mail pays for all other mail. You think it costs $1 to carry your Christmas card from your door to your mom's in California?

No. The junk mail should be billed at the same rate as other mail. Then we know the true cost of the postal service and go from there.

FFS, the government is NOT a business. The government exists to provide the functions a civilized society requires. Governments
do not operate for profit.

And literally nothing has been improved or made more affordable by becoming privatized. The entire point of privatization is to maximize profit. This is done by decreasing expenses (quality) and increasing the price.

Government needs to change.

Perhaps Trump can grift more money for USPS?
Perhaps they can use the DOGE windfall?

If they privatize mail, rural communities are f**. But because I live in a city, I guess I shouldn’t care more than Joni “we all are going to die” Ernst about rural constituents.

Also PPP loans are different than USPS. We now have folks in the government that only provide aid to wealthy people. No need to worry about a PPP loan-situation in the future.
