Crazy idea- If the internet could be shut down for the world for an entire week, do you think we would see any changes?

This is exactly what I thought of, too. Was in NYC for that blackout and there was a palpable sense of disappointment when the power came back on. Life without the constant buzz of electricity and connectivity is kind of nice, at least for a little while.

Shut down SM, discussion forums, youtube etc. Anywhere that people waste time and that aren't required for the functioning of society
