Not normal. You may want to consider one or more of the following: discuss hygiene routine w/ child(may not be effective in cleaning themselves); old/ineffective washing machine; sub-bar/not enough detergent; issue with child's diet and also mention it to the doctor at their next check up.

My kids wore the fur lined Crocs for a while and they didn't stink.. until one of them wore theirs to the beach and got them fully wet in the ocean. We were at the boardwalk in the evening and it was not in the plans to go in the water, but they were running around with friends and did it before I could stop them. I had the Crocs in my car after they dried out and OMG the smell. I thought something had died in my car. Had to throw them away after that. But I don't think just putting them after swim practice will make them stink for most kids.
