Stuck to a bulletin board in his room. No varsity jacket for him - I really haven't seen them at his school.
FWIW, I never had a jacket either when in HS. My letter is in a box in the basement. We just came across my wife's majorette jacket from HS. That was a fun one for her to try back on after 30 years. |
Our team won states and I never saw anything other than the team plaque. I know I saw another team at our school get rings in the same year, so either our sport is overlooked or my kid didn't care enough to pick it up. It's pretty annoying if the state association treats sports differently. However, the booster club did make them shirts which is awesome because it gets worn! It's a school color that can be worn to spirit days or football games. |

My son's school didn't give out physical letters. He got a card.
DD's school gives out letters and a little card. They are in her drawer. I'm sure I will end up pitching them out in 10 years. |
| In a drawer somewhere. DD thought the letter was super random and funny. They do t really care |
| If only proms would go the way of jackets and rings. Such a waste. |
| In a keepsake box with all of the other stuff (ribbons, pics, etc.) |
We had to pay for the ring, and I know not everyone bought one. The medal was given by VHSL. Letter and pins came from school. |
Also, no team medal :/ Maryland |
Same. Tacked to a bulletin board. And OP you say is so sad FOR YOU. So what, the kids do not care about these things, it’s just more clutter. |
