How does your DS/DD display their Varsity letter?

When I was younger, we had jackets. Kids don’t wear them anymore nor class rings, so sad for me. I wore both of mine so proudly.

Recommend a frame or another idea.

in a drawer that they never open. My kids could care less

No, this is early 20th century stuff that has no meaning now.

I can't even get my kid to pick his up from the coach (who is a teacher in the building!). He's a senior who lettered freshman year (and every year since).

They don’t get anything at our school.

My DD put hers on a bulletin board in her room with other keepsakes.

The school gave everyone classic jackets with the letter already attached and names embroidered. They're really nice, although I have yet to see DS wear his.

Our DDs both played Varsity volleyball, and they did get letters at different times (the ones you can sew onto your jacket or backpack), but I think both of them just saved theirs, never was interested in wearing it. Everyone they cared about knew they played, and the games were generally well-attended, so I don't think it's important to them to show it off to literally everyone.

But I can understand the nostalgia you feel, and I'm glad you got to enjoy it and the jackets when you did

Mine played 2 years of varsity soccer. He never even got his letter. I thought it just wasn’t a thing but maybe he needed to pick it up and didn’t follow through.

This is what I did with mine in the 90s. I think it got thrown out when my parents downsized. I didn’t think they gave them out anymore.

Right? I graduated in '94 from a school of about 1200 and maybe half a dozen kids wore letterman jackets. That might be a stretch. Maybe this is a bigger deal in parts of the country that are less academically focused and more sports oriented?

This. I’m not even sure where it is.

We keep my daughter's with her other medals and trophies and patches. I still have mine! Lettered in 4 things so it's a nice reminder of that time in my life.

Same for my son. Bulletin board. I had a letterman jacket in the 90s.

We have one in a picture box but only because the team won states. It also has her medal, pins, and ring, so it’s more about winning states I guess. It will probably go in a box after high school.
