What boots does your snowy weather college kid have?

Bean boots or sorel.

Get them a pair of Gore-Tex trail runners. They won’t be trudging through any appreciable snow.

in New England and has no boots.

It's New Englanders saying they and kids students wear crocs and other shoes, not necessarily snow boots. They think they are so tuff

Boy or girl?

For a girl, give Bean boots, Sorels, Blundstones, Uggs or all four.

For a boy, you can buy them whatever you want. They’ll just keep wearing their sneakers and Crocs. Maybe if it’s really cold they’ll wear socks.

Nobody would wear boots with spikes to go to class, that would be ridiculous.

True fact! There were no Uggs when I was in school but sneakers and doc Martens. Pathways were always well plowed/shoveled on campus.

I think its worse for city students who live off campus in Boston. People don't shovel well and it gets icy. I speak from experience there too!

How old are you? I am 55 and we all wore Uggs in high school in the 80s.

Where did you go to high school? Uggs were sold in surf shops in California in the 80s. They didn’t hit the big market until the 90s.

I'm 53, I literally have no recollection of Uggs! Maybe they weren't a thing where I lived...or I'm clueless (always a possibility!)
