Not likely on both sides. It’s usually one side only.

I'm not a doctor but +1 I think Shingles is only on one side.

I have shingles right now (it sucks!) but I can confidently say it's one sided so not what OP describes.

No fever, redness or rash, this is a tissue thing, so if I poke my side, all the way from the armpit to the waist there is tenderness.

No new meds, activities, no change with deep breathing.

Its also not constant, just on occasion.

I am wondering if it's the start of fibromyalgia and I am dreading that possibility.

Fibromyalgia is a diagnosis given when doctors can't find an actual cause of pain and they're sick of seeing you in the office complaining.

and, if you tell medical providers you have it, they take it as code for: this b is crazy/ pill seeking/ neurotic/ needs therapy. You don't want this diagnosis. See also: Hashimotos.

How tender? I mean are you pressing over your ribs? I just checked and it hurts a bit all the way down my ribcage.

Sounds like tick bite. Alpha Gal or worse perhaps.

My whole body becomes very tender to the touch when my ferritin is low. Even pressure from lying on it to sleep hurts as does bumping it or taking clothes on and off. My whole body becomes hypersensitive and tender. Taking ferrous fumarate fixes it.

so many overweight women suspect they have it before any tests are run and even after the tests come back within the normal range. They say the threshold is lower for them. I've heard this from severadl women, but much less frequently since they can shoot themselves up with glps.

Hashimitos is not based on a “range”. It’s the presence of an antibody.
