Are you buying anything from Black Friday sales? If so what?

I grabbed an expensive (for me anyway) lamp from Anthropologie that I have been wanting for a long time when I saw it was 30% off. Haven't bought anything else yet, but will probably look tomorrow to see if there are any deals on things I need to buy anyway.

I worked in retail for a couple of years and kind of think of Black Friday as a bit of a scam. You can find some decent discounts if you look though, and that can work out especially if they are on things you buy (or need to buy) anyway.

Nope. Might hit up some local gift shops but that’s it. Definitely not buying from any big corporations this season.

I caught a few dresses on steep sale at Boden, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie. A few of the items were pieces I had been watching for a few months, so I am glad I waited.

My best Black Friday deal was a few years ago. I got Hulu for .99/month. All “deals” fall short for me now.

Agree- they jack up prices and then say "20% off" -- okay? We have software that tracks prices you know.

Careful with uber gift cards. They charge you more than if using cash. This happened to a couple I know. Shady Uber.

It’s now bundled with Disney plus and is $4.99/mo, bummer
HBO max is $2.99/mo
Starz is $12/yr but not sure if worth it

Not what i found. I shopped early last year thinking i was getting the better deal. Nope. Everything i bought was cheaper Black Friday and cyber Monday. So i returned several things and bought at cheaper price. So i am waiting this year.

Lots of stuff I needed — shampoo and conditioner (what I bought on sale last Christmas lasted all year!), new sheets for beds as ours are decades old and just worn; dresser to replace my sons broken hand me down from his cousin.
Also upgraded airpods for daughter and me as the old ones fall out of our ears, and getting a tv for the “play room” as I’m trying to get my teens to have their friends over more. Pretty good sales on all this stuff.
Really need comfy work shoes but the ones I ordered don’t work so still hunting there.

My Christmas gift to myself was a coffee grinder — it was about 30% off so not great but probably won’t go any lower.

Target has sheets 40% off today including the threshold ones which make them a great buy.

My favorite towels are the lands end Supina cotton and I think they are on deep sale today too.

The lands end stuff is all 55% off — the cashmere sweaters are down to $90. Also good for cotton flannel Pjs, towels, leather belts, silk long underwear.

I’ve been totally disappointed by Target sales this year. In previous years they had really good deals of the day every day. This year a lot of days have been things like 25% off all cereal!
