No he taught Spanish too (which he did speak). It was about 5 years ago. A wasted year fye French kids!

My kid had this teacher as well. He was self admitedly "not strong" in French.

Not a surprise, unfortunately. I think it's extra hard to get teachers fluent in languages that can actually teach. Most of them seek out higher-paying opportunities.
