We did this

Of those who had committed crimes, the vast majority were traffic violations and petty theft. Fewer than 15 percent were violent criminals. Dozens of the Velezuelans sent to CECOT were FULLY LEGAL in the United States. And yet our country sent them to be tortured.

I happen to be a friend of one of the men sent to El Salvador. He is a gentle, kind, man who has done nothing but work hard his entire life. He was legal. I repeat: he was in the United States legally. He has zero crimes to his name. He was tortured because Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller and the rest of the ghouls in charge wanted to make an example of a few to terrorize us all.

This is unforgivable. It is horrific. This is American values.

This read made me ill but it is so important to keep our eyes open. Please do not skip because it makes you uncomfortable. We sent over two hundred migrants to be tortured.

"We" didn't do anything. I didn't have anything to do with this.

Also, there are some Americans who are not opposed to what happened (not saying I am one of them, just emphasizing that the royal we is unwarranted)
