My very religious Catholic parents think that my unmarried 50 year old sister is still a virgin.

OP what’s your religion?
I have a real problem with religious people telling their children to not have sex before marriage when conservatives routinely support child marriage or marriage at 18 pushing breeding for their daughters instead of educating them.

I hope he will maintain respectful monogamous relationships. As he has grown up I have spoken to him about this. However, he is his own person.

I would be disappointed if I found out he was have meaningless casual sex with a bunch of women.

That’s a sure way to raise a man with sexual hang ups that will be a lousy husband.

Why?

Because you’re teaching him sex is wrong, dirty, or something to feel guilty about. That’s not healthy.

This may be obvious but not all religious people are conservative. I am religious but not conservative. I waited until marriage and I got married young but I certainly wasn't "breeding," and didn't have a baby until years later.
