I think it’s not really a “type,” except maybe for kids with ADHD or an LD who do better with less chopped-up schedules (some do better with *more* chopped up schedules, so even that isn’t universal—you have to know your kid). If it’s appealing to your daughter, it’s probably fine. It was not at all appealing to mine, who really didn’t like the idea of not having, say, math consistently all year long.
