Can you have a good sex life but a bad marriage?

1000 times this. Why is this? The best sex of my life included an alcoholic and an artist who could barely pay the rent.

Is that Don Draper talking?

This. The best sex of my life was with men who burned hot and made terrible partners.

Currently with a man who is a fantastic partner, more than I ever thought was possible, but sex is pretty vanilla. I try to spice it up but he’s just too calm and stable. We still have sex several times a week, and is satisfying, but not the same level of intensity.

What do u want that is missing?

Sex every other day for pretty much 25 years until the entire relationship got ripped open. Sex stopped and it became very clear that we used it as communication. connection, repair, stress relief and as a sort of currency that we passed back-and-forth.
It was all seduction but with each of us in separate inner worlds.
Unbelievably fun but not healthy.

I feel like for men, as long as the sex is good, then the marriage is good. For women, if the marriage isn't good, then there will be no sex.
