UBER delivery on bicycle? Is this some sort of UBER humor? Not funny to my family.

My elderly family members immediately became worried about such a proposition.

I texted the person delivering several times but received no response.

My elderly family members became increasingly worried.

Finally the delivery driver answered and stated they were not on a bicycle.

Why does UBER feel the need to give out false information?

One of my elderly family members could have suffered a medical emergency due to the stress of this situation.

This is your fault. If your elder is so anxious, they shouldn't be informed of any adverse situation.

Also, stop being ridiculous.

Uber on a bike? That would’ve been awesome. Have you heard of biking in dc? He is a Uber delivery guy who does it on a bike.

What about that was upsetting? The bike would be smashed by a car and no din din or what? Your relative needs to be in a nursing home.

Ridiculous - and if true, stop ordering from poor people to deliver to you. Get in your car and pick it up yourself!

This is some of the funniest shit I’ve seen on DCUM, and I’ve been here since 2015.

I would not be surprised at all considering most of the things said here.

Who knows, maybe the future is rides on bikes or scooters. Get ready. If the delivery person wants to deliver on a bike, why does it matter as long as your items make it to you in good condition.

Is Uber allowed to report an ebike as a bicycle? We really need to get some government regulations about bicycle identification.

Wouldn't the elder worry about what they weren't being told then?

But the old person could have died! Any jury would convict on these facts…murder by malicious food bikery. It’s the only crime DC still enforces

If your elders are so sensitive, you’re better off not ordering in.

One, don't keep elderly family members in the loop on things like this. Just reassure them it's coming. It's also usually better to have someone pick up everything instead of relying on Uber Eats for anything.

This story gave me a good laugh! You can't be serious, OP. And I had an image of the guy on his bike with 30 boxes on his head.
