Any sense of just how bad things get? It's making me a little nervous - both from a safety perspective and because I'm not convinced by kid is balancing class and partying.

Umm, this is happening in every college right now. I have a kid at Ohio State and there's a football game there tomorrow (against Penn State) so you can only imagine.

Yep! My kid will be going to their B10 game (finally a night game!) and then out afterwards.

JMU goes harder!

Sure.lol

It's Halloweekend everywhere! And is hugely fun.

It started last night at most schools. A three-day extravaganza.

At least JMU has more night games than the Big 10. Really weak shit lol

Serious question: did you attend college?

A ton of Nova HS seniors drive to JMU for this weekend. You know the ones, the ones with parents who allow drinking and don’t have many rules. Happens every year.

Just be happy she's not a high school senior whose Halloween night is being ruined by finishing EA applications!

No worries. A ton of Maryland HS seniors are at UMD this weekend too. As a matter of fact, it's every weekend.

That was a choice. I hope she can relax tomorrow.

I’m at JMU now. It’s impressive in a crazy sort of way. Waves of out of towners are circling off campus apartment complex parking lots like a long freight train trying to find visitor spots. Parties have spilled out of townhouses and they’re merging in the grassy common spaces.

OP - my son is a freshman and I’m right there with you!

Did anyone you know go to jail or the hospital?

What school doesn’t have parties for Halloweekend? This is completely normal.
