Land's End vs. LL Bean for kids clothes

I'm very confused about sizing on the Landsend.com website. What size coat or fleece would you get for a 3 1/2 year old who wears 4T-5T?

I always go to both sites and then see which coats/dresses/sweatshirts I like better from each one. This season LL Bean has the cutest dresses and tights for girls. I bought a bunch of them because my 2 year old loves wearing them. But I got winter coats from Lands End because they had some cute ones there.

I'm sure that post didn't help much, but there is a size chart on the site. E.g., 34-38 lb is a size small or 4, 39-44 lb is a size medium or 5, etc.

We have had great success with LL Bean outerwear (Kathadin line in particular) with high quality lasting multiple seasons and multiple children.

I do think Lands End has better sales though and I also really like their slim sizing for girls.
